  1. Evening,

Meeting a mate from Norwich, coming from Chester, so where is halfway? = Grantham.
    Intending on visiting Belton Hall.
So need local suggestions for accommodation, beer and food. Either in Grantham or nearby. Happy to stay in one place, but eat and drink elsewhere but maybe latter two at same venue. Wife does not drink (I love her so much) so driving not an issue.
Pubs ‘untouched by the passage of time’ are a fave.

    Thanks so much,

    Dr Ian Minshall, Chester

    • Hi Ian – so is a day trip or are you staying over? The Nobody Inn is our ‘Pub of the Year’ for the second year running, we have a good Wetherspoon – (Tollemache) and we have the Lord Harrowby.

      Regards for now

    • Hi Mike
I have ordered all the beers for the beer festival and can’t go over budget, unless the KC beers are freebies.
They were two KC beers at last year’s festival 5c and No 10.

  3. The Whichcote Arms Osbournby will be open this weekend 7th May 2016 for info, Batemans XB and a guest ale.

  4. Hello, I booked tickets from Sainsbury’s for the beer sampling evening in aid of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association on May 24. On them it said 19.00-21.00 – does it meas we have to be there at 7.00 or can we arrive at any point during the two hours?
    Many Thanks!

    • Hi Anna,
The event begins at 7pm with a talk, followed by beer tasting at 7:15. Fish and chips follows the beer tasting. So, in answer to your question, it is best to arrive at 7pm.
      Best regards

  5. Hi
My name is Sarah and work for the weekly Notts in Focus newspaper on the ‘What’s On section, in which has a Lincolnshire section and just emailing to see if I would be able to have the contact number of your marketing person for the event.
    Kind regards
